■WHO WE ARE

WHO BUILDS YOUR KUWAIT SOFTWARE, AND FROM WHERE?

New Kuwait — the Kuwait Vision 2035 programme — aims to make Kuwait a financial and business hub where the private sector leads the economy, and much of that private sector now sells online. Selling online in Kuwait has its own requirements: customers expect to pay with KNET, prices run to three decimal places, and the storefront must read naturally in Arabic as well as English. RTechnologies builds e-commerce, apps and custom software for Kuwait to that standard. We are not located in Kuwait; we are an in-house team in Bahria Town Phase 7, Rawalpindi, on the Islamabad border, building for the Kuwaiti market remotely.

Many brands begin by selling through Instagram and WhatsApp, then need more once orders outgrow a spreadsheet and a phone. A Salmiya fashion label needs KNET checkout and delivery fees by area. A Hawalli restaurant group wants its own ordering app instead of relying only on aggregators. A Jabriya clinic needs online appointments; a property office needs a lease portal. We scope each in writing with fixed milestone prices, including which gateway — MyFatoorah, Tap Payments or UPayments — fits your bank.

Kuwait runs on UTC+3 all year and Pakistan on UTC+5, so our 09:00–18:00 is 07:00–16:00 in Kuwait City. We use Friday, when Kuwait is off, for focused build work — so on Sunday morning there is something new on the staging link to review.

■WHY RTECHNOLOGIES

CAN A REMOTE TEAM REALLY WORK FOR KUWAIT?

01

Fils-accurate from database to receipt

Amounts carry three decimal places. We store money as whole fils, round in one place only, and test totals and refunds so a checkout never drifts by a fils.

02

KNET's limits planned in

KNET has no recurring charges or authorise-then-capture, and refunds are time-limited. Subscriptions, deposits and returns are designed around that.

03

Arabic designed in, not flipped in

RTL layouts are designed alongside English, not mirrored at the end. Arabic interface copy is reviewed by a native Arabic speaker before launch, arranged per project.

04

Four full shared days

Monday to Thursday overlap fully with your Sunday–Thursday week, so demos and fixes happen in real time.

■KUWAIT CITY ↔ RAWALPINDI

BEFORE YOU SIGN

The working details to confirm in writing before you sign.

Time zones & working week
Kuwait is UTC+3 all year; we are UTC+5. Our 09:00–18:00 PKT is 07:00–16:00 in Kuwait City. Your week is Sunday–Thursday, ours Monday–Friday: Monday–Thursday overlap fully, Sunday is our weekend and Friday yours.
Currency precision
KWD is divided into 1,000 fils. Prices, discounts, delivery fees and refunds are calculated in whole fils and shown to three decimals — KWD 12.750, never KWD 12.75.
Payments
KNET debit, Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay via MyFatoorah, Tap Payments or UPayments. KNET needs a merchant ID from your bank; we handle integration, test payments and refunds.
Data rules
No single comprehensive data protection law. CITRA's data privacy regulation applies to CITRA-licensed telecom and IT providers; we build to its principles regardless.
Language & RTL
Arabic and English storefronts, right-to-left layouts, bilingual order notifications. Arabic interface copy is reviewed by a native Arabic speaker before launch, arranged per project.
Contracts & billing
Written scope, fixed milestone prices. Invoiced in USD by international bank transfer; local-currency pricing on request.
Ownership
Store, domains, hosting, app-store and gateway accounts in your company's name; the full source code is yours.
After launch
Optional monthly support — gateway and OS updates, security patches, seasonal sale preparation and small changes.

■FAQ / KUWAIT

WHAT DO CLIENTS ASK BEFORE STARTING?

Q01Do you have an office in Kuwait?

No. RTechnologies has no office, staff, registered company or phone number in Kuwait. Our only office is in Bahria Town Phase 7, Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Kuwaiti projects run remotely through weekly video demos, a shared task board and a direct chat with your engineers; our day begins at 07:00 Kuwait time.

Q02Can you build an e-commerce website in Kuwait with KNET payments?

Yes. We build stores whose checkout accepts KNET alongside Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay, through gateways such as MyFatoorah, Tap Payments or UPayments. Your company obtains the KNET merchant ID through its bank and opens the gateway account; we handle integration, delivery-area pricing, order notifications and refunds.

Q03How do you handle the Kuwaiti dinar's three decimal places?

The dinar divides into 1,000 fils, so a price such as KWD 4.750 is normal and code written for two-decimal currencies gets it wrong. We store amounts as whole fils, round in one place, and test baskets with discounts, delivery fees and partial refunds. Receipts and gateway requests carry three decimals.

Q04Can KNET be used for subscriptions or deposits?

Not directly. KNET does not support recurring charges or authorise-then-capture, and refunds are time-limited. For subscriptions we pair recurring Visa and Mastercard billing with KNET renewal links; for deposits we take a separate KNET payment and refund it if needed. We confirm the exact rules with your gateway.

Q05We sell through Instagram today. Can you move us to our own store?

Yes. We build a catalogue and checkout that replace taking orders in DMs, with product links you can keep posting in stories and WhatsApp chats. Orders, payment status and delivery slots sit in one dashboard, and we import your product list so nobody retypes it.

Q06What data protection rules apply to apps in Kuwait?

Kuwait has no single comprehensive data protection law. CITRA's data privacy regulation applies to CITRA-licensed telecom and IT service providers. Even where it does not apply to you, we build to its principles: consent before collection, Arabic and English privacy terms, deletion on request and breach logging.

Q07How do time zones, weekends and billing work with Kuwait?

Kuwait is UTC+3 all year and we are UTC+5, so our 09:00–18:00 is your 07:00–16:00, and Monday to Thursday overlap fully. Projects are fixed-price per milestone, invoiced in USD by international bank transfer; local-currency pricing on request. We do not hold a KWD bank account.
